BOISE -- Pastors and other demonstrators rallied outside the White House Monday as a show of solidarity with imprisoned Boise pastor Saeed Abedini.

The group got arrested on purpose to bring attention to their push to free Abedini who was arrested for converting from Islam and sharing his Christian faith in Iran.

The demonstrators say they chose this day to protest because of the Martin Luther King, Junior holiday and because it is also the start of the government's face-to-face talks with Iran over their nuclear program.

They say they are troubled by the Obama administration's lack of commitment to Abedini and religious liberty rights.
