PENDLETON, Ore. Five people, including three children, died in a two-story house fire Sunday morning in Pendleton, police said.

Around 6 a.m., firefighters arrived to find a home at 1220 SE Court Place fully engulfed in flames, said Lt. Bill Caldera with the Pendleton Police Department.

After the flames were extinguished, firefighters found the bodies of three children and two adults inside, Caldera said.

Two adults outside the home were taken to Legacy Emanuel to be treated.

No names have been released pending notification of their families. Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
