BOISE -- After suffering a stroke back in May, local radio icon Big Jack Armstrong is making his return to the local airways Thursday.

Big Jack's stroke was centered in the part of the brain that controls speech and left him unable to do what he does best, talking on his radio show.

Now, just four months later Big Jack has been cleared to return to the airwaves.

He credits his rapid recovery to the dedicated care of his medical team, his family, and most of all the heartwarming support and prayers of his fans and the community he loves so much.

So starting Thursday, Big Jack can be heard weekdays on the station he purchased earlier this year, Oldies 1380 AM from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
