BOISE -- Boise Police say three teenagers are in custody in connection with an early morning home invasion robbery at an apartment near S. Denver Avenue and Belmont Street.
Police say the men threatened two people inside the apartment with what appeared to be a club and a handgun, and then stole several items.
Officers responded just before 1 a.m. to a robbery in progress. They spotted four young men running from the scene and gave chase through alleys and yards. At one point, the suspects try to enter an apartment, but the front door was locked.
Two suspects were caught in parking lots on S. Broadway Avenue.
A police K9 was brought in to help search for the other two suspects. The dog tracked one man across several yards in the area of Longmont Avenue and Rossi Street. The suspect was found hiding in some bushes. The police dog bit the man during the arrest. After receiving medical treatment at a local hospital, the man was taken into custody.
Police arrested Jeremy I. Davis, 19, along with a 17-year-old and 14-year-old. All three are from Boise. They are charged with robbery and resisting and obstructing officers.
Davis was booked into the Ada County Jail. The two juvenile suspects are in the custody of juvenile detention authorities.
Investigators believe the victim was targeted and this was not a random crime. Several of the stolen items have been recovered.
Police are still investigating whether a fourth suspect was involved.
