MIDVALE, Idaho -- Fire officials say they have almost contained the Roadside Fire burning near Midvale.

Right now, the fire has burned an estimated 2,103 acres.

Payette National Forest officials say the fire started early Friday and burned on a mix of private, state, and federal land within the forest's protection zone.

At one point, there were structures, outbuildings, and power lines threatened, as well as critical sharp-tailed grouse habitat.

Officials said the fire was contained around 6 p.m. Sunday. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
