BOISE -- A woman accused of killing her mother in Nampa admitted to police that she hit her mother in the head with a hammer.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Kelly Singh told police that she had been drinking and that her drinking upset her mother, Ruth Collins.

Singh said that after her mother went to bed, she was still upset and after trying to wake her up she grabbed a hammer and hit her an unknown number of times in the head.

The affidavit goes to say that Singh went to a neighbors house and said I think I killed her.

Singh's is facing 1st degree murder charges. Her next court appearance is scheduled for March 14th.
