BOISE -- Picture this.

Dozens of amateur photographers and history buffs, loaded down with camera gear, walking aroundas tourists in their own city.

On Tuesday and Wednesday artist and history buff Amber Daley lead them on photographicwalking tours through downtown Boise starting at the Capitol Building.

The Boise Department of Arts and History provided Daley with a grant for the project.

The tours stopped athistoric buildings with unique stories, such asthe Old Ada County Courthouse, the Adelmann and the Pioneer Tent building.

Each participant was encouraged to take photos of whatever caught their eyes.

They were then asked to choose their favorite photo from the tour to be printed and featured in an upcoming art show.

If you'd like to check out the photo exhibitofBoise's most historic buildings, you are welcome to attend. It will be held Sunday, August 28 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Flatbread Community Oven in downtown Boise.

The photography walking tours were free and open to the public. Artist Amber Daley hopes to conduct more tours in the near future.
