MERIDIAN - Police are investigating after a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle late Friday night.
Police say Melinda Croghan, 38, was hit at about 11:30 p.m. Friday in the Cedar Springs neighborhood, near the intersection of Meridian and Ustick roads.
She died from blunt force trauma to the chest.
Residents in the neighborhood told KTVB that they saw police in front of a house for several hours, gathering evidence from a white pickup truck. They also said the truck was eventually towed away.
Police officials declined to say whether the driver of the truck was cited or arrested.
