BOISE -- Boise's Meals on Wheels service, formally Elks Meals on Wheels is now Metro Meals on Wheels and they say they have a renewed commitment to the mission.
Metro Meals on Wheels' new tagline is serving independence and they say they're helping do just that by allowing their clients to remain in their own homes. To help the program two Boise residents are paying for all the meals for a month for one of the clients.
Sathyan Munirathinam and Yogalakshmi Padmanabhan say they're making the donation in honor of their twin sons' second birthday.
Metro Meals on Wheels serves 800 meals each weekday for seniors throughout Ada County. Meals are delivered to home bound senior citizens and served in group settings at senior centers.
