BOISE -- All four lanes of Interstate 84 have reopened and are flowing smoothly at the Idaho/Oregon border.

That's after 48 hours of repeated closures due to icy weather and crashes.

Oregon State Police said the Oregon Department of Transportation reopened the highway about 2 a.m. Thursday.

A 50-mile stretch east of Pendleton had been closed Wednesday night by hazardous driving conditions.

Stretches of the interstate have been closed at times since Monday because of freezing rain, fog and black ice.
