BOISE -- Ten years after Idaho prosecutors say a man made child pornography with a female foreign exchange student, he's been caught as a fugitive in Europe.
Federal prosecutors say Brandon Gerald Farrell, who has a number of different aliases, was arrested in Spain this year and recently brought back to Idaho to face the decade-old charges.
Officials say he made sexually explicit videos of the exchange student in 2003 and 2004 in Idaho. He is charged with producing and possessing child pornography and transporting a minor across state lines to engage in sexual activity.
Court documents filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office in 2004 say Farrell knew or should have known that his victim was a vulnerable victim in that she was a foreign exchange student without relatives in the United States and that English was not her native language.
Prosecutors are fighting to have Farrell held in jail until his trial, in part because of the risk he may flee again.
