BOISE -- A competency hearing for Shawn Fisher, the man accused of shooting another man to death in the middle of a Boise street, wrapped up in an Ada County courtroom today.

After attorneys submit their final arguments in writing, Judge Ronald Wilper will rule on whether Fisher is mentally competent to stand trial for the murder of Matthew Mohler-Kerns.

Fisher was arrested on Feb. 19, 2013, the day after prosecutors say he rear-ended someone on Vista Avenue and fired his gun.

Mohler-Kerns was shot on Franklin Road later that same night.
