SEATTLE -- Picking out a backpack for the school year can be tricky for parents and students. According to experts students should only carry 10 percent of their weight in their backpacks.

Chiropractor Dr. John Sim recommended students wear backpacks on both shoulders and fasten the belts around their chest and hips. Dr. Sim also said stretching is important before and after school.
