BOISE -- Boise Police have reopened a section of Interstate 184 after the driver of a motorcycle flipped over the edge and into a skate park below.

Police say a 33-year-old Boise man was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed when he failed to make a turn, hit a concrete freeway barrier, and skidded about 100 feet along the the barrier before falling off the edge.

The drop took the rider about 30 feet below the freeway into Rhodes Skate Park.

Witnesses say the man was conscious when he landed in the skate park. He was taken to a local hospital, and the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

I-184 was closed for around 1.5 hours while police investigated the crash.
