BOISE -- A 51-year-old Boise man died Friday night after his motorcycle hit a boulder on the shoulder of Highway 21, causing him to lose control of his bike and crash.
Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg has identified the crash victim as Kenneth Gray. His cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma. Gray was not wearing a helmet.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. Friday near the Diversion Dam by Lucky Peak Reservoir.
Deputies say Gray was southbound on the highway when he hit a basketball-sized boulder. He died at the scene.
