DAYTON, Ohio -- The Boise State Broncos will be playing in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Wednesday which is something that has happened only six times in school history.

KTVB's Jay Tust is on the road with the Broncos and caught up with head coach Leon Rice, Athletic Director Mark Coyle, and sophomore Derrick Marks after the team's practice.

Rice said his team is excited to play after taking a week-long break. There's not going to be nerves, our guys are excited to play, Rice said.

Asked about La Salle's surprise bid to the NCAA tournament, Rice said the Philadelphia college team had great guards, and was defensively very aggressive. However, Rice also said BSU's strengths would be an equal match for the Explorers.

There's so many similarities -- we can learn a lot from playing each other, Rice said.

A key for the Broncos on Wednesday will be sophomore Derrick Marks. Marks made just 4 of the 22 attempts against San Diego State in the team's last game.

He told Tust after practice I won't miss those shots again.

Boise State Athletic director Mark Coyle was also on hand at practice. He says while BSU football leads the way, basketball is on the way, and hopefully the rest will follow.

Game time is 7:10 p.m. on Tru-TV, and is available only on cable and satellite. You can find Tru-TV at channel 60 on Cable One, 246 on DirecTV, and 204 on Dish Network.
