BOISE -- Ada County Sheriff's deputies and Star Police are asking for your help, to find out who shot and killed three sheep this week in Star.

The first incident was reported Tuesday morning near the intersection of Joplin and North Star roads.

Ranchers who own livestock there found a sheep that had been shot in the head at close range.

Two more sheep were found Thursday, apparently killed in the same way.

The owner says the sheep were being raised to be shown by students in 4-H.

Investigators believe more than one person killed the animals - and they believe the shooters walked onto the ranch property.
