BOISE -- The Elks Rehab Hospital held its annual donation caravan Saturday, raising a record of $147,000.

This event raises money and food for the entire Elks Rehab system.

All 21 Elks Lodges from across the state participated in the caravan, and the goal was to bring fresh foods, that can be used to create healthy meals.

This is so critical to the Elks Rehab system. We serve over 350 meals every day in our cafeteria and to patients and 800 meals, a day to meals on wheels folks in Ada County. So this is extremely helpful and extremely critical for the organization, said Grant Jones with Elks Rehab.

They raised $126,000 last year
