MURTAUGH, Idaho -- Nearly a week after a shooting south of Murtaugh left one man dead and two others injured, the Twin Falls County Sheriff Office has released the names of those involved.
On the night of April 24, deputies responded to a report of a fight when they received another call that shots had been fired. When deputies arrived on scene around 9 p.m., they found two men with gunshot wounds and a Chevy Suburban fully engulfed in flames.
Jose Luis Mucio-Olayo, 42, of Murtaugh, was airlifted to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center and died on the way to the hospital.
Javier Carbajal-Galvan, 27, of Murtaugh, was taken by ground ambulance to St. Luke's. No word on his condition.
Deputies later learned that Edgar T. Garcia, 23, of Burley, drove himself to the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley before they arrived on scene. His condition has not been released.
Firefighters put out an SUV that was on fire. No word on what caused the fire.
No arrests have been made or charges filed. The sheriff's office and Idaho State Police are continuing to investigate.
