CALDWELL - A three car crash sent two people to the hospital and closed down a road in Caldwell for three hours Thursday night.

Idaho State Police say around 7 p.m. aFord Explorer traveling at a high rate of speed down Chicago Street crossed into oncoming traffic near 10th Avenue and hit aSuzuki Aerioat a stop light. The Ford Explorer overturned andstruck an empty parked Ford Focus.

The driver of the Ford Explorer has been identified as Daniel Rush, 53, of Caldwell.The driver of theSuzuki Aerio is Christina Martindale, 40, of Nampa.

Both drivers were takenwere taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with non-life threatening injuries.

Chicago Street west of 10th Avenue was closed for about three hours after the accident.

This crash is still under investigation.
