GARDEN CITY - Garden City Police are preparing for a crowd of more than 80,000 to pour into Expo Idaho Saturday for the Boise Music Festival.
They're asking for the public's help in making the event as safe as possible.
Police ask those traveling to the fairgrounds to carpool if possible, watch for pedestrians, and only use designated crosswalks.
Drivers in the area should expect some congestion, and take an alternate route or plan a little extra time for their trip.
Festival-goers should also drink plrenty of water and stay hydrated, and anyone planning to drink alcohol is urged to use a designated driver.
The 12-hour event will start at 10 a.m.
Police are asking attendees to use the free shuttle service from downtown Boise and Eagle whenever possible. The shuttles are scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
