BAKERCITY, Oregon -- A semitrailer hauling paper products caught fire Wednesday, sending up huge flames into the night on Interstate 84 between Baker City and Ontario, Oregon.

It happened as KTVBreporter Karen Zatkulak and photojournalist Paul Boehlke drove back to Boise after documenting an avalanche rescue near Halfway, Oregon.

We're told the truck was hauling paper products, and caught fire on the westbound side of the interstate, closing both lanes for a brief time.

The driver was able to separate the trailer from the truck to prevent an explosion.

No one was hurt.
