BOISE -- A 38-year-old Boise man is accused of beating, and then threatening a man with a knife during a drunken fight at a west Boise home on Wednesday.

The incident happened near Fairview Avenue and Cole Road around 10 p.m.

Boise police say Sean A. Nihill allegedly hit the man in the chest, knocked him down, and straddled him after he became angry. That's when Nihill threatened the man with a knife, according to a witness report.

Police say both men know each other.

When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found Nihill passed out drunk on the lawn outside of the home.

Nihill was then taken to an area hospital due to his high level of intoxication. He was medically evaluated before being booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

It's not his first encounter with police this week.

Nihill was booked on felony assault charges early Monday morning. Police say that's after he allegedly tried to start a fight with bystanders at a bar on the 1400 block of Curtis Road.

The 38-year-old was taken to the hospital due to his high level of intoxication. Once there, police say he became aggressive and kicked an officer in the legs.
