BOISE -- The search continued today for a man who went missing while swimming in the Snake River near the Swan Falls Dam Thursday night.

Emergency crews found out around 8 p.m. that a man went missing while trying to swim across the Snake River west of the dam.

Witnesses on scene told first responders that they never saw him go under the water.

Deputies from Ada, Canyon and Owyhee counties, along with Kuna firefighters and members of the Boise Fire Dive Team searched last night and again today, looking in the water and along the river's edge for the man.

Crews spent most of their time looking about a mile-and-a-half downstream from the Swan Falls Dam.

They searched from a plane and a boat, but have had no success in finding the man.

At this point we don't have any information as to who this man is, or where he is from.
