BOISE -- Idaho State Police are investigating a crash on Interstate 84 near Twin Falls that killed one person.

The one-car rollover happened around 4:00 p.m. Friday, on the westbound side of I-84, just past the turnoff to Highway 93.

Idaho State Police says Rodolfo Herrera, 46, of Mexico, was trying to change lanes, but he noticed another car in the lane. Herrera then over-corrected and rolled his car many times.

Herrera was thrown from his 1995 Ford Explorer as it rolled several times. He died at the scene.

Police say he was not wearing a seat belt, but his passenger, Marco Navarro, 38, of Fresno, California, was. Navarrow was taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley in Twin Falls by ground ambulance.

The westbound lanes were closed for around two hours.
