NAMPA -- The Nampa School District has decided on a budget committee to hash out the district's financial short comings.

The committee is made up of community members, teachers, and district administrators. It was formed after the district announced a $4.5 million mistake.

Committee members include school board chair Scott Kido, trustee Bob Otten, Zion's Bank vice president Stuart Hartley, and the district's finance officer, Michelle Yankovich, as well as 12 members chosen from the community. The group will recommend ideas to the board on how the best fix the budget.

The committee's first meeting will be October 9th.

Because of the committee's expanded role, its meetings will be open to the public and information will be posted on the district's website.
