BOISE -- Demolition is expected to start next month on a building in downtown Boise to make room for Jack's Urban Meeting Place, also known as JUMP.

The current Compton warehouse building will be torn down between 9th Street and 11th and Front Street and Myrtle Street.

A fence will be installed around the property in January and heavy equipment is scheduled to begin tearing down exterior walls.

The six-story community building is expected to cost about $70 million. Construction is expected to be complete in spring of 2014.
