NAMPA -- Three people are now being held at the Canyon County Jail, charged in connection to a murder in Nampa.
James Whitewater, 28, is charged with first degree murder and aggravated battery. The charges come after 25-year-old Pedro Martin Jr. was found with a gunshot wound in the Walgreens parking lot at the corner of 7th Street South and 12th Avenue South in Nampa. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Whitewater was taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. Monday after a traffic stop near Middleton.
Meanwhile, two other people Nampa police were searching for are also in custody. Natalie Whitewater, 27, and Wayne Canaday, 32, were both arrested a short time after James Whitewater. Police caught up with them at a home in Caldwell.
Natalie Whitewater and Wayne Canaday are both charged with aiding and abetting aggravated battery in connection to the murder of Pedro Martin Jr.
Law enforcement officers from several different agencies including the Canyon County Sheriff's Office, Caldwell Police Department and Metro Violent Crimes Task Force helped Nampa Police make the arrests.
Meanwhile, officers are still searching for one more person they believe is connected to the murder: Allison Yancey, 34 of Middleton.
A warrant has been issued for Yancey's arrest on charges of aiding and abetting aggravated battery.
