BOISE -- Boise Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman near the Broadway Bridge early Sunday morning.

The victim told police she was walking eastbound along the Greenbelt on the north side of the Boise River around 2:30 a.m. when the attack occurred. She said she had just walked beneath the bridge.

She says she was sexually assaulted but was able to get away. The incident was reported to police around 9 a.m.

Police have released a description of the suspect. He is a light-skinned, tanned man about 20 to 25 years old, about 6-foot tall, approximately 170 pounds with a muscular build. He has blonde hair with a buzz-cut and blue eyes.

At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black pullover hooded sweatshirt with a San Diego State logo, dark shorts and skate shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

Boise State University sent out an alert today that included some safety tips. They want to remind students that there are 24/7 security escorts available, be sure to know where the blue emergency phones are around campus, and report any suspicious people and circumstances.
