STAR, Idaho -- A 32-year-old Star man was arrested Monday for vandalizing and stealing from a church more than once.
Ryan Ballou is charged with felony burglary and grand theft after investigators say he first broke into the Life Spring Church in November of 2012 and stole a lighting board.
In June of 2013, he's accused of vandalizing an outbuilding on the property.
And detectives say he admitted to stealing musical equipment, emptied the contents of three fire extinguishers, and defecated on a blanket inside the church a month later.
In December, officers found the musical equipment, including mixing board, a keyboard/synthesizer and the lighting board, inside the home where Ballou was staying.
The church has gotten the stolen goods back.
Ballou is being held in the Ada County jail on a $15,000 bond.
