RUPERT -- A doctor at Minidoka Memorial Hospital in south-central Idaho has been disciplined by the Idaho Board of Medicine after failing to mention a malpractice lawsuit when she renewed her medical license.
The Times-News reports in a story on Friday that Margo Saunders agreed to pay a $500 fine and about $400 to reimburse the board.
She must also inform current and future employers for one year of the board's action.
The malpractice lawsuit claimed Saunders provided substandard care. It was settled out of court in July. Terms haven't been released.
Minidoka Memorial Hospital Administrator Carl Hanson says the board's action was caused by a clerical error when Saunders' renewal application was filled out. He says Saunders remains a physician in good standing.
