CALDWELL -- Police say a young man wearing a ski mask robbed a Caldwell convenience store shortly after midnight on Monday.

Police say the robbery suspect was wearing a black ski mask, black pants, and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt when he entered the Maverik convenience store on Ustick Road near 10th Avenue South.

LieutenantDevin Riley says the man walked up to the cash register and told two clerks to give him money. Riley said the clerks noticed he had a folding knife in his pocket, but otherwise didn't brandish a weapon.

He didn't threaten anybody, didn't really even have a knife in his hand, Riley said.

Police say the suspect then stuffed an undisclosed amount of money inside a grey shopping bag and ran outside and behind the store. He's thought to have driven away.

He's described as a light-skinned male with blue eyes and sandy-blonde eyebrows, approximately 20-to-24-years-old, 5-feet-8-inches tall, and weighing about 150 pounds.

Police ask anyone with information on the crime to call 454-7531.
