BOISE -- The unidentified driver of Dodge pickup has been cited for following too closely after an injury crash that sent a Boise man to the hospital Wednesday morning.
Boise Police report the crash happened just before 8 a.m. on the inbound Connector near the River Street exit. That's when the driver of a Dodge pickup attempted to change lanes, took her eyes off the road, and rear-ended a Boise man driving a BMW, according to reports.
Officers say the BMW was then pushed into a Hyundai driven by a woman with two passengers.
Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said the driver of the BMWwas taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt, according to Hightower.
The driver of the pickup was cited for following too closely, which carries a $90 fine.
Traffic was backed up for about 45 minutes.All lanes were reopened at 8:30 a.m.
