ONTARIO, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say a traffic stop in Ontario has led to the seizure of 37 pounds of marijuana.

Two Missouri men were arrested last Thursday after a police dog alerted on the marijuana, which was found inside two large duffel bags in the car's trunk.

According to Sgt. Bob Wilson, on July 11 at around 8:30 a.m., an OSP trooper stopped a Mercedes Benz displaying Missouri license plates for an equipment traffic violation.

The car's two occupants were identified as driver Nethanial B. Neal, 20, and passenger Robert R. Gonzales Jr., 23, both from Seligman, Missouri.

The men were arrested and booked into the Malheur County Jail for unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance - marijuana.

Police put the estimated value of the seized marijuana at $92,000.
