PULLMAN, Wash.-- It may be called weed, but experts said marijuana is difficult to grow.

Now that the drug is legal in Washington and Colorado, it has some pot-growing hopefuls seeking advice from the experts. However, some are declining to share their information.

Washington State University told people not to ask for advice from them. A university spokesperson said since marijuana is illegal under federal law, the university won t be teaching anyone how to grow it.

Washington and Colorado instructed agriculture programs and master gardeners not to show people the best way to grow marijuana.
