NAMPA-- Northwest Nazarene University just received a big grant for its new bachelor of science in engineering program.

The Micron Foundation today awarded NNU $200,000.

That will pay for two new faculty members and a lab manager at the university, based in Nampa.

NNU plans to create several new engineering courses over the next two years, with the goal of achieving accreditation for its program in 2014.

Sixty-two students now study engineering at NNU.
