BOISE -- Officers are searching for the person who fired a gun outside of the Buffalo Club near Fairview and Five Mile roads early Monday morning.

Boise Police say the shots were fired at approximately 2:17 a.m. after the club had closed. Officers report the shots were in response to a physical fight that happened outside of the club in the parking lot.

Police spokesperson LynnHightower described the shooter as a dark-skinned male in his 20's.

Hightower says the man allegedly pulled out a gun and fired it into the air.

No one was injured.

Buffalo Club owner Russ Persell says his security staff uses metal detectors to prevent weapons from entering the club. Persell also said employees worked with police to help identify who fired the shots.

Police continue to investigate.
