CROUCH, Idaho -- Crews working the Springs Fire have built two lines designed to protect the Terrace Lakes subdivision.

The fire has burned more than 6,000 acres west of the Crouch-Garden Valley area. It is 65 percent contained. Three helicopters are battling flames from the air.

A staffed information station has been set up at the Terrace Lakes maintenance shop, and information boards are up in the clubhouse, Crouch Market, Garden Valley Post Office and the Forest Service's Garden Valley Work Center.
