WASHINGTON -- A Kansas beef packing company is recalling more than 60,000 lbs of ground beef that may be tainted with E. coli.

The beef came from National Beef Packing Co. LLC, of Dodge City, and was sold nationwide, U.S. Department of Agriculture officials said Saturday.

The products may have been repackaged into consumer-size packages and sold under different retail brand names.

The problem was discovered after the Ohio Department of Agriculture tested National Beef products that had been purchased for further processing.

The USDA received no reports of illnesses associated with the products.
