BOISE -- There was a lot of commotion at a Boise bank at Eagle and McMillan roads Thursday afternoon.
A Boise Police spokesperson says the bank was not robbed, but two California women are now in jail charged with grand theft.
Officers responded to a report of fraud in progress at the Wells Fargo bank at 4594 N. Eagle Road at 1:30 p.m.
Police were able to located two female suspects near the bank and took them into custody.
Bank employees said the women tried to access a customer's account using false identification. Employees alerted police.
Luisa Lamonthe, 28, of Oakland, Calif., and Janelyn Dasig, 26, of San Francisco, Calif., were booked into the Ada County Jail.
Lamonthe is charged with attempted grand theft and fraudulent use of a financial transaction card. Police she had a fake credit card in her possession.
Dasig is charged with two counts of grand theft. All of the charges are felonies.
Detectives say the two women have also been involved in other thefts at Boise bank branches since Jan. 11. The losses from those thefts are estimated to be in the thousands.
Police say more charges are likely.
