NAMPA -- The Nampa irrigation season begins soon.
The city began its irrigation season by filling the pressurized system today.
The Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District plans to release water into the canal system on Monday, April 7. However, it could take up to two weeks before the water is available for pump operations.
City of Nampa irrigation customers should have irrigation water at full pressure by mid-April.
The city of Nampa receives the majority of its irrigation water from canals and ditches supplied from mountain reservoirs like Arrow Rock, Lucky Peak and Anderson Ranch.
