KUNA -- A local football player, who everyone has been pulling for, is coming back home this week.

Boone Bartlome suffered a paralyzing spinal cord injury in a game last season.

He's been going through rehab at Craig Hospital in Denver for the past several months.

A welcome home celebration will be held at Kuna High School this Thursday.

Boone is scheduled to fly into the Boise Airport Thursday afternoon, and then he will come to the high school with a police and fire department escort.

His community will be waiting to welcome him home.

His coach, Lee Leslie, talked with KTVB about Boone's return, his recovery and why it so important for the community to show their support.
