BOISE -- A broken water pipe has has flooded the intersection of Parkcenter Boulevard and Beacon Street in Boise. The area is immediately south of the ParkCenter Bridge.

The incident happened early Friday morning, with the water about a foot deep in spots.

Boise Police and employees from the Boise City Department of Public Works were on site dealing with the problem as of 6 a.m. We're told the leak could be due to a broken water main or a geothermal line.

Currently, just part of the intersection remains closed, but traffic is able to move around the hazard on Parkcenter Boulevard.

No word on when the problem will be fixed.
