EAGLE -- One local group is trying to spread a little kindness, and asking the Treasure Valley to strap on some running shoes and benefit a local boy who lost his life in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Infinite Kindness is presenting the Eagle 8 Kindness Run for the first time. The run is an 8K walk and run in memory of Martin Richard, an 8-year-old boy who was killed at the Boston Marathon. Organizers tell us why they're trying to bring a national issue to the local level.

I think that any little boy losing their life for such an act of violence that is not necessary, is a tie to every community, said Tara Dotson, President of Infinite Kindness. So we, as a Boise, as Eagle community can come together and do something nice.

The run will be on July 27th in Eagle. Proceeds will be donated in Martin's memory to the libraries at Eagle Elementary School, as well as the Neighborhood House Charter School where Martin attended the 3rd grade.
