MERIDIAN -- Power has been restored to about 2,500 customers in Meridian after a Monday morning outage.

The outage was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. and restored by 8:15 a.m.

Idaho Power had reported that parts of Franklin Road, Linder Road, and Broadway Avenue were among the areas affected.

AdaCounty dispatchers said crossed and sparking power lines appeared to be the cause of the outage.
