PORTLAND -- Kaine Horman has asked for a delay in his divorce proceeding with Terri Horman, according to a report in the Oregonian.

His lawyer cited in court Monday the difficulty of assessing her ability to parent daughter Kiara while Kyron remains missing, and the role of Terri Horman in his disappearance remains under a cloud, the newspaper reported.

Terri Horman's lawyer wants the divorce to move forward, with limits on what Terri Horman can be asked about the criminal investigation into the boy's disappearance, the Oregonian reported.

Judge Henry Kantor said he would issue a ruling in about two weeks, the paper reported.

Kyron Horman disappeared on June 4, 2010 from Skyline Elementary School.
