IDAHO FALLS -- Authorities are still trying to figure out the cause of a fire that damaged a downtown Idaho Falls apartment building.

The blaze broke out Monday and caused dozens of people to flee the Bonneville Apartments. As many as 13 people were treated for smoke inhalation and minor injuries at the local hospital.

Most of the fire damage was confined to a second-floor apartment and hallway, and some residents were able to return to the building Monday evening.

Authorities are also trying to determine a damage estimate from the fire and smoke.
