BOISE -- A group of Idaho World War Two veterans enjoyed a welcome home celebration Friday in Boise.
The 25 veterans returned from the first-ever Idaho Honor Flight.
They traveled to Washington, DC earlier this week to see several memorials and other landmarks around the nation's capital.
Highlights of the trip included visits to the World War Two Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
WW IIVeteran Shirley Law told KTVB she especially enjoyed visiting the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The best moment was when we went to the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and four of our men carried a wreath down and laid it at the tomb, and said it said 'Honor Flight, Idaho on it.'
Honor Flight of Idaho works to make sure World War Two veterans get a chance to see the memorial built in their honor.
The organization is already planning more trips.
