BOISE -- River floating season isn't the only thing that's opening to the public today.
The brand new Boise River Recreation Park is also opening.
A dedication ceremony takes place tonight at the Boise River near Pleasanton Avenue at six o'clock.
Kayakers have already been out testing the waterpark's waves this summer.
Construction was finished in February, but high water levels and cold temperatures prevented the park from opening until now.
The park cost nearly $2 million to build.
Funding comes from the city of Boise, the Albertson Foundation, and private donors.
