BOISE -- Idaho Fish and Game officials say a young bull moose spotted wandering through backyards along Warm Springs Avenue over the past few days has been captured and relocated.

Biologists found the moose in a fenced yard in east Boise and were able to successfully tranquilize it with a dart Wednesday afternoon.

It has since been examined by Mark Drew, the state wildlife veterinarian, and relocated up Thorn Creek.

Officials say moose rarely wander into Boise. It appears this young moose followed along the Boise River and wound up in town.
